List of Portuguese ambassadors in Morocco

The list of the Portuguese Ambassador to Morocco lists the Ambassador of Portugal in Morocco on. Since the formal independence of Morocco in 1956, the two states have maintained official diplomatic relations, which historically go back to the 15th century. On December 29, 1869, José Daniel Colaço , Portuguese Consul General in Tangier , as chargé ordered and thus the first permanent official ambassador of Portugal in Morocco.

The Portuguese representation resided in Tangier until 1956, and has been based in the capital Rabat since 1956 .
