List of Portuguese ambassadors in Angola

The list of Portuguese ambassadors in Angola lists the ambassadors of the Republic of Portugal in Angola . Angola was a Portuguese colony from 1483 to 1975 . The Portuguese Carnation Revolution on April 25, 1974 also ended the Portuguese colonial war in Angola. The country was granted independence by the new government in Portugal, which was proclaimed on November 11, 1975. Portugal formally recognized the MPLA government on February 23, 1976 and established diplomatic relations with Angola on March 3, 1976.

The Portuguese embassy in the Angolan capital Luanda is at number 50 Avenida de Portugal .
