List of Portuguese ambassadors in Rwanda
The list of Portuguese ambassadors in Rwanda lists the ambassadors of the Republic of Portugal in Rwanda . The countries have had diplomatic relations since 1976.
A Portuguese representative was first accredited in 1977 in the Rwandan capital Kigali . Portugal did not open its own embassy there, the Portuguese ambassador to the Democratic Republic of the Congo was initially also responsible for Rwanda and secondly was accredited there. Since the reopening of the Portuguese embassy in Addis Ababa , Rwanda has been part of the administrative district of the Portuguese representative in Ethiopia (as of 2019).
