The list of Portuguese ambassadors in Cape Verde lists the ambassadors of the Republic of Portugal in Cape Verde . The Cape Verde Islands have been a Portuguese colony since their discovery in 1445 . After the Carnation Revolution of 1974, the new government in Portugal granted independence to the country on July 5, 1975 and then established diplomatic relations.

The Portuguese embassy in the Cape Verdean capital Praia is located on Avenida OUA , in the Achada de Santo António district .

There are also two Portuguese honorary consulates in Mindelo and on the island of Sal .
