List of Portuguese ambassadors in Senegal

The list of Portuguese ambassadors in Senegal lists the ambassadors of the Republic of Portugal in Senegal . The countries have had direct diplomatic relations since 1974, which go back to the arrival of the Portuguese explorers in what is now Senegal in 1444.

The first ambassador of Portugal was accredited in 1975 in the Senegalese capital Dakar . The Portuguese embassy was opened in the same year, but it was first by a chargé built, and the Portuguese ambassador to Guinea-Bissau was initially in Senegal zweitakkreditiert . From 1976 the embassy in Dakar fully represented Portuguese interests.
