Lyudmila Nikolajewna Schischowa ( Russian Людмила Николаевна Шишова ; born June 1, 1940 in Nizhny Novgorod , Russian SFSR ; † February 21, 2004 ibid) was a Soviet foil fencer .

successes

Lyudmila Schischowa took part in two Olympic Games and each competed with the Soviet team in the team competition. In 1960 in Rome she became unbeaten Olympic champion together with Galina Gorochowa , Tazzjana Pjatrenka-Samussenka , Walentina Prudskowa , Walentina Rastworowa and Alexandra Sabelina . In the final they defeated Hungary 9-3. At the 1964 Olympic Games in Tokyo she reached with Galina Gorochowa, Walentina Prudskowa, Tazzjana Pjatrenka-Samussenka and Walentina Rastworowa in the team competition again the final against Hungary, which this time went 9: 7 to the opposing team.
