Evgenija Alexejewna Lamonowa ( Russian Евгения Алексеевна Ламонова ; born August 9, 1983 in Kurchatov , Russian SFSR ) is a former Russian foil fencer .

successes

Yevgenia Lamonova achieved most of her successes at the international level in team competition. In 2007 she was European champion in Ghent and won a silver and a bronze medal at European championships. With the team she won three silver and two bronze medals. It was in 2003 in Havana and in 2011 in Catania with the team world champion , in 2007 , she was in St. Petersburg Second. In 2008 she was part of the Russian delegation to the Olympic Games in Beijing . In the individual she was eliminated in the quarterfinals against Margherita Granbassi with 7:12, while in the team competition with the Russian team she successively defeated Egypt , Italy and finally the United States in the final with 28:11. Together with Swetlana Boiko , Wiktorija Nikischina and Aida Schanajewa she became Olympic champion .
