Alexandra Ivanovna Sabelina ( Russian Александра Ивановна Забелина ; born March 11, 1937 in Moscow ) is a former Russian foil fencer .
She began fencing in 1953 and was a member of the Soviet national team from 1956 to 1972 . At the Summer Olympics in Rome in 1960 , in Mexico City in 1968 and in Munich in 1972 , she won the gold medal in the foil team competition with the Soviet team .
In addition, she was individual world champion in 1957 and 1967 and vice world champion in 1961 and 1966. With the team she won the world championship title in 1956, 1958, 1961, 1963, 1966, 1970 and 1971 and the silver medal in 1959, 1962, 1967 and 1969.
She was honored with the honorary title of "Honored Master of Sport" in the Soviet Union and in 2005 she was inducted into the Russian Hall of Fame of fencing.
