Emma Kornejewna Jefimowa ( Russian Эмма Корнеевна Ефимова ; born September 28, 1931 in Moscow , Russian SFSR ; † July 12, 2004 ) was a Soviet foil fencer .
successes
Emma Jefimowa was first in 1956 in London and 1958 in Philadelphia with the team world champion before she won the title in 1959 in Budapest in singles. In addition, she secured silver in the individual competition in 1958 and silver in the team competition in 1959. At the Olympic Games in Melbourne in 1956 she reached the semi-finals of the individual, in which she was eliminated as fifth in her group.
