Katalin Juhász-Nagy (born November 24, 1932 in Hódmezővásárhely ) is a former Hungarian foil fencer .

successes

Katalin Juhász won seven medals at world championships . In the individual, she took third place in Buenos Aires in 1962 and in Gdansk in 1963 . With the team she won the title three times: 1959 in Budapest , 1962 in Buenos Aires and 1967 in Montreal . Juhász-Nagy took part in two Olympic Games : in 1960 in Rome she moved into the team competition in the final against the Soviet Union , which was lost 3: 9. At the Olympic Games in Tokyo in 1964 , she met the Hungarian team again in the final against the Soviet Union and this time won 9: 7. Together with Lídia Dömölky-Sákovics , Paula Marosi , Judit Ágoston-Mendelényi and Ildikó Ujlakiné-Rejtő , she became Olympic champion . In the individual she was fifth.

In 1956 she graduated from the University of Sciences in Szeged with a degree in chemistry .
