Tazzjana Pjatrenka-Samussenka
Tazzjana Dsmitryjeuna Pjatrenka-Samussenka ( Belarusian Таццяна Дзмітрыеўна Пятрэнка-Самусенка , Russian Татьяна Дмитриевна Петренко-Самусенко Tatjana Dmitryevna Petrenko-Samussenko ; * 2. November 1938 in Astraschyzki Haradok ; † 24. January 2000 in Minsk ) was a Soviet - Belarusian foil - Fencing . She won three gold medals at the Olympics and five world championships.
Tazzjana Pjatrenka-Samussenka took part in four Summer Olympic Games with the foil team. She made her debut at the 1960 Summer Olympics in Rome and immediately won the gold medal. Four years later, at the 1964 Summer Olympics in Tokyo , this success could not be repeated and silver won. At the two following games in 1968 in Mexico City and 1972 in Munich , Tazzjana Pjatrenka-Samussenka was able to win the gold medal again with the foil team.
The greatest single success in her career was winning the title at the World Fencing Championships in 1966 . With the team she won four other world titles: 1963 in Gdansk , 1965 in Paris , 1966 in Moscow and 1970 in Ankara .
