Die Müsse is a nature reserve in the Lower Saxony municipality of Hohne in the Lachendorf municipality in the district of Celle .

The nature reserve with the sign NSG LÜ 138 is 154  hectares in size. A few hundred meters to the west is the “ Allerdreckwiesen ” nature reserve . The area has been a nature reserve since December 21, 1985. It replaces the landscape protection area of the same name that was designated at the end of 1984 . The responsible lower nature conservation authority is the district of Celle.

The nature reserve is west of Hohne. It places a wetland with an alder - ash - quarry forest in the Aller lowlands under protection. The quarry forest borders the Wiehe and Schwarzwasser brooks in the south .

As a result of land consolidation measures , groundwater levels were lowered . In order to avert damage to the wetland, measures were taken that aimed at rewetting the area. Water can be taken from the Wiehe via a network of ditches and directed into the nature reserve.

The nature reserve is largely surrounded by other wooded areas. To the west it partially borders on agricultural areas.
