The Lower Allerniederung near Boye is a nature reserve in the Lower Saxony town of Celle in the district of Celle .

The nature reserve with the sign NSG LÜ 303 is about 168  hectares . It includes parts of the FFH areas "Aller (with Barnbruch), lower Leine, lower Oker" and "Entenfang Boye and Bruchbach". The area has been a nature reserve since June 26, 2015. The responsible lower nature conservation authority is the district of Celle.

The nature reserve extends in the west of Celle along the Aller from the road bridge of the west tangent as part of the Celle bypass to the city limits shortly before the mouth of the Fuhse Canal, northeast of Hambühren . It includes the floodplain in this area, parts of the Neustädter Holz adjoining to the south and dune areas . The floodplain is predominantly characterized by wet grassland . In the east of the nature reserve in particular, there are also old and tributaries of the Aller. The Bruchbach flows into the Aller to the south of the Boye district of Celle . The waters are often accompanied by tall herbaceous vegetation and reed beds as well as woody plants. Dune areas are occupied by dry grass and heather . The floodplain is subject to natural river dynamics and is inundated during floods. As a floodplain, it has an important flood protection function.

South of the Aller, there are softwood alluvial forests with black alder and ash and hardwood alluvial forests with English oak , white elm , field elm and common and narrow-leaved ash . The alluvial forests merge into the Neustädter Holz with oak, oak-hornbeam and beech forest .

The Aller is the habitat of otters and beavers in the nature reserve . Furthermore, wolffish , bullhead , brook lamprey , river lamprey , sea ​​lamprey , mud whip and bitterling are native here. In the nature reserve also comes crested newt before. Moreover, it is the habitat of a hermit , Green Snaketail and the bat species Noctule , pipistrelle , soprano pipistrelle , Serotine , Daubenton's bat , pond bat , brown long-eared and Brandt's bat .

The nature reserve borders mainly on forests to the south, on grassland areas and other wooded areas to the north, to which the residential development of the Klein Hehlen and Boye districts of Celle adjoins.
