The Bohlenbruch is a nature reserve in the Lower Saxon communities of Bröckel and Eicklingen in the combined community of Flotwedel in the district of Celle .

The nature reserve with the sign NSG LÜ 139 is 158  hectares . It is completely part of the FFH area of the same name . The area has been a nature reserve since December 21, 1985. It replaces the landscape protection area of the same name that was designated at the end of 1981 . The responsible lower nature conservation authority is the district of Celle.

The nature reserve is located northeast of Bröckel and protects a forest area in the extensive Allerniederung. The forest area used to be regularly exposed to the floods of the Aller . Since the river was regulated and dammed, there has been no flood. As a result of this and the lowering of the groundwater, the original alluvial forest gradually changes into a common oak-hornbeam forest .

In the south there is a former soil extraction point that has filled with water. The resulting lake, which is included in the protected area, is subject to its own dynamic development.
