Marek Sobola

Marek Sobola (born July 3, 1981 in Žilina ) is a Slovak garden and landscape architect , gardener and heraldic artist.

Life

Sobola was born in Žilina and comes from Divina . From 1999 to 2004 he attended the Slovak Agricultural University in Nitra , Faculty of Horticulture and Landscape Planning, studying horticulture and landscape architecture ( academic degree : Engineer , Ing.). In 2004–2007 he studied at the Slovak University of Agriculture in Nitra, Faculty for European Studies and Regional Development, Institute for Sustainable Development (academic degree: Ph.D., neo-Latin philosophiae doctor ).

Since 2007 he has been designing gardens and landscape architecture in his studio. In 2011 he was a member of the Slovak Chamber of Architects, as an authorized landscape architect. From 2011 to 2016 he studied at the Philosophers-Constantine University in Nitra (academic degree: Master , Slovak equivalent: Mgr. ). In 2017 Sobola became a member of the Liturgical Commission of the Diocese of the Diocese of Žilina .

He is a member of the Slovak Chamber of Architects (in Slovak: Slovenská komora architektov ), and also the Czech Chamber of Architects. His clientele are institutions and private investors from Slovakia , the Czech Republic , Austria , Bahrain , American Samoa , Papua New Guinea , Tonga , the Solomon Islands , Iceland .

The donors of the project were besides the Diocese of Žilina, His Royal Highness Franz, Duke of Bavaria , the head of the House of Wittelsbach , the Order of Knights of the Holy Sepulcher in Jerusalem ( Ordo Equestris Sancti Sepulcri Hierosolymitani ), the Knights of the Cross with the red star - the only order of Czech origin, ( Ordo militaris Crucigerorum cum rubea stella in pede pontis Pragensi ) and the Metropolitan Chapter at St. Vitus in Prague , who is the owner of the tomb of this saint. Other partners who have contributed to the renewal of the sculpture are his birthplace - the city of Nepomuk , but also the parishes that belong to the extensive parish of Divina: Svederník , Divina and Divinka .
