Bebertal is a district of the unified community Hohe Börde in the district of Börde in Saxony-Anhalt .

Bebertal is about six kilometers southwest of Haldensleben .

The districts of the municipality of Bebertal, which was independent until 2010, were identified:

The municipality of Bebertal was created on July 1, 1950 through the merger of the municipalities of Alvensleben and Dönstedt. Already on September 30, 1928, the Alvensleben manor district was amalgamated with the rural communities of Dorf Alvensleben and Markt Alvensleben and parts of the manor districts of Bischofswald-Forst and Veltheimsburg (which today form the castle complex) to form a rural community of Alvensleben. At the same time the estate district Dönstedt was united with the rural community Dönstedt.

The area of ​​today's municipality of Bebertal was settled very early, as shown by a total of 43 large stone graves. The largest and best known is the royal grave near the forester's house oak.

The name of the place Dönstedt is first found in a document from King Otto I from 961. In the Middle Ages, the castle belonged to the Schencken of Dönstedt and Flechtingen .

The first, albeit unsecured, documentary mention of Alvensleben was in 964 in an inventory of the Gernrode monastery . The history of Alvensleben is closely connected with Alvensleben Castle and with the episcopal ministers of Alvensleben, who reside there, as well as those of Berwinkel and, from 1439, those of Veltheim .

On January 1, 2010, the previously independent communities of Bebertal, Ackendorf , Eichenbarleben , Groß Santersleben , Hermsdorf , Hohenwarsleben , Irxleben , Niederndodeleben , Nordgermersleben , Ochtmersleben , Schackensleben and Wellen merged to form the new community of Hohe Börde.

The coat of arms was approved on January 30, 1996 by the Magdeburg Regional Council. It was designed by the Magdeburg heraldist Erika Fiedler.

The red over gold shield division (that of Alvensleben's colors) symbolizes the two districts of Alvensleben and Dönstedt. The upper part was created by taking over the two red bars in the golden field, covered with 2: 1 silver roses with golden lugs and sepals, from the coat of arms of the House of Alvensleben. In the lower part there is a red linden branch in gold as a symbol for the district of Dönstedt, which had a linden tree in the community seal at the time of its independence. According to Behrends, it was "... the old linden tree on the Kirchberg," which the residents used as a place for gatherings and festivities.

The federal highway 245 leads through Bebertal from Haldensleben in the direction of Eilsleben , which connects to the federal highway 2 (junction Eilsleben).
