Maximilian Heinrich Heim OCist (born April 14, 1961 in Kronach ) is a German - Austrian priest monk . He has been the abbot of the Cistercian Abbey of Heiligenkreuz since 2011 .

Life

Heinrich Josef Heim studied after graduating from high school in Kulmbach from 1981 Catholic theology at the University of Augsburg . In 1982 he enrolled at the Heiligenkreuz University of Applied Sciences and entered the Heiligenkreuz novitiate in 1983.
