Michael Stoffregen-Büller (born July 12, 1939 in Göttingen ) is a German journalist and author .

Life

Michael Stoffregen-Büller was born in Göttingen and attended the Andreanum grammar school in Hildesheim . After training as an advertising and theater photographer, he completed a traineeship at NDR television in Hamburg and Hanover , which was followed by a job as a television drama cameraman at Bayerischer Rundfunk in Munich . From 1965 he was a member of the founding team of the WDR magazine Monitor as a director and editor. He is the author of over 100 time-critical domestic political films. He also reported from Eastern Europe , Libya , Algeria and Central America .

In 1972 he was appointed editor-in-chief of Weltspiegel (WDR-Cologne) and two years later as editor-in-chief and deputy television program director at Hessischer Rundfunk in Frankfurt . Journalistic focus at this time: Iberian Peninsula and European politics. He was the presenter of the ARD series Europe in comparison as well as ARD representative for the first European elections in 1979 and ARD team manager (radio and television) for the 1982 World Cup in Spain . From 1984–1998 he headed the WDR regional studio in Münster (radio and television) and from 1983 to 1998 he was a lecturer at the Institute for Journalism at the Westphalian Wilhelms University in Münster. He is the initiator of the Westphalian Horse Museum in Münster, which opened in 2002 in the All-Weather Zoo in Münster .

Michael Stoffregen-Büller is married and has two sons. He lives in Münster and on the Kleiner Wannsee in Berlin .
