Mickaël Bourgain (born May 28, 1980 in Boulogne-sur-Mer ) is a former French cyclist . He was four times world champion in team sprint on the track and won two bronze medals at the Olympic Games.

Mickaël Bourgain was internationally active as a track cyclist from 1999, when he took first place in both the sprint and team sprint (with Arnaud Tournant and Vincent Le Quellec ) at the Track Cycling World Cup in Cali .

Bourgain won his four world titles in the team sprint : 2004 in Melbourne (with Laurent Gané and Arnaud Tournant), 2006 in Bordeaux with Arnaud Tournant and Grégory Baugé , 2007 in Palma also with Tournant and Baugé and in 2009 with Baugé and Kévin Sireau . In 2005, in Los Angeles, he was also runner-up in the sprint world championship.

Mickaël Bourgain drove for the Équipe Cofidis from 1999 to 2009 , when his contract was not renewed. He switched to the “AVC Aix-en-Provence” team to prepare for the 2012 Olympic Games in London . There he started the road race , which he did not finish. In the Keirin, he finished eighth. In 2013 he ended his cycling career.
