Miss Universe 1930 (Galveston)
The beauty pageant for Miss Universe 1930 took place under the name Fifth International Pageant of Pulchritude and Eleventh Annual Bathing Girl Revue from August 2 to 6, 1930 in Galveston (Texas) . Around 150,000 spectators are said to have watched the swimsuit parade on Galveston Boulevard every year.
There were 39 applicants (32 from the United States and 7 foreign women). On August 5th, the first ten placed won cash prizes and the winner also won the title Miss Universe .
