The Royal Borough of Kingston upon Thames [ ˈkɪŋstən əˌpɒn ˈtɛmz ] is a borough of London. It is located in the southwest of the city. Adding "Royal Borough" (Royal Borough) borne by the district because it during the Middle Ages the English kings private property was.
