Everything different is an Austrian television film from 2008 by Harald Sicherheitsitz and after Im Reich der Reblaus (2005) and Nur keine Wellen (2006) the third part of the three-part series Courageous in the New Times . The first broadcast took place on Labor Day (May 1, 2008 ) on ORF 2 ; the film was shown for the first time on October 28, 2008 on 3sat .

While the second part deals with the 1960s, the third part takes place in the 1970s.
The film opens in 1974, the year of the oil crisis and car-free day . Things go haywire with the Redlich and Berkovitz families. "Charlie" Redlich has become a local rock 'n' roll great and despite his drug problems, he has found a friend in Dani Berkowitz. Elfi Redlich gets to know the writer Sean, she finds her supposedly great love in him and goes to Ireland with him. Daughter Moni invests her 15,000 Schilling marriage bonus in her first own apartment. Paul Berkowitz's son Rafi joins the management of the Berkowitz-Ulmendorff company and falls in love with the granddaughter of the old Nazi Ulmendorff, of all places, and the bad-hearted Hasak causes the next catastrophe. Rafi takes over the business of the Adelholz sawmill and falls in love with the owner Agnes. But after the renovation of Adelholz, the two separate again. Dani's and Charlie's relationship also fails because of Charlie's drug problems. In the end, Elfi returns from Ireland.
Production and Background
The shooting of Alles anders took place from May 23 to August 5, 2006 together with the second part Nur keine Wellen .
The film was produced by the Austrian MR Film , with Arte and the Austrian broadcasting company involved .
The title of the series refers to the third stanza of the Austrian national anthem . With Erwin Steinhauer and Matthias Franz Stein as well as Fritz Karl and Aaron Karl two fathers and their sons stood in front of the camera.
