NGC 1245 is an open cluster of Trumpler type III1r in the constellation Perseus in the northern sky . It has an angular extent of 10.0 'and an apparent magnitude of 8.4 mag.
The object was discovered on December 11, 1786 by the German-British astronomer Friedrich Wilhelm Herschel .
