NGC 1250 is a lenticular galaxy of the Hubble type S0 in the constellation Perseus in the northern sky . It is an estimated 273 million light years away from the Milky Way , about 170,000 light years in diameter. The galaxy is a member of the Perseus Cluster Abell 426 .
In the same area of ​​the sky are u. a. the galaxies NGC 1259 , NGC 1260 , IC 308 , IC 310 .

The object was discovered by Lewis Swift on October 21, 1886 .
