NGC 2694 is a Hubble-type E1 elliptical galaxy in the constellation Great Bear . It is estimated to be 229 million light years from the Milky Way and about 80,000 light years in diameter. 
It is likely gravitationally bound with the NGC 2693 system .
The object was discovered by George Stoney on March 9, 1850 .
