NGC 5448 is a bar-spiral galaxy with an active galaxy core of the Hubble type SBa in the constellation Ursa Major in the northern sky . It is estimated to be 95 million light years from the Milky Way and about 105,000 light years in diameter .
In the same area of ​​the sky is u. a. the galaxy NGC 5425 .

The object was discovered on May 15, 1787 by the German-British astronomer William Herschel .
