NGC 5452 is a bar-spiral galaxy of the Hubble type SBcd in the constellation Little Bear in the northern sky . It is estimated to be 99 million light years from the Milky Way and about 55,000 light years across .
The object was discovered on December 20, 1797 by the German-British astronomer Wilhelm Herschel .
