NGC 6288 is a 14.5 likes bright lenticular galaxy of Hubble type e-S0 in the constellation Dragon at the northern sky , an estimated 467 million light-years from the Milky Way 's center.
The object was discovered by Edward D. Swift on August 19, 1884 .
