NGC 6291 is a 14.1 mag bright barred spiral galaxy of the Hubble type SBb in the constellation Dragon in the northern sky , which is an estimated 240 million light years away from the Milky Way .
The object was discovered by Lewis A. Swift on August 13, 1885 .
