NGC 6308 is a 13.6 likes bright barred spiral galaxy of Hubble type SBc in the constellation Hercules at the northern sky . It is estimated to be 401 million light years from the Milky Way and about 130,000 light years across.

In the same area of ​​the sky is u. a. the galaxy NGC 6314 and NGC 6315 .

The object was discovered by Albert Marth on June 6, 1863 .
