NGC 6299 is a 14.1 likes bright elliptical galaxy from the Hubble type E0 in the constellation Draco the northern sky . It is estimated to be 275 million light-years away from the Milky Way and has a diameter of about 50,000 ly.

The object was discovered by Heinrich d'Arrest on October 27, 1861 .
