NGC 6349 is a 14.3 likes bright galaxy from the Hubble type S? in the constellation Hercules . It is estimated to be 528 million light years from the Milky Way and, together with NGC 6351, forms an optical double galaxy

The object was discovered on July 15, 1879 by Édouard Stephan .
