NGC 6345 is a 14.4 mag bright lenticular galaxy of the Hubble-type S0 in the constellation Dragon in the northern sky . It is an estimated 471 million light years away from the Milky Way and about 110,000 light years in diameter.

In the same area of ​​the sky are u. a. the galaxies NGC 6338 , NGC 6346 , IC 4649 , I C 4650 .

The object was discovered by Lewis A. Swift on May 13, 1887 .
