NGC 6345 is a 14.4 mag bright lenticular galaxy of the Hubble-type S0 in the constellation Dragon in the northern sky . It is an estimated 471 million light years away from the Milky Way and about 110,000 light years in diameter.
In the same area of the sky are u. a. the galaxies NGC 6338 , NGC 6346 , IC 4649 , I C 4650 .
The object was discovered by Lewis A. Swift on May 13, 1887 .
