NGC 6346 is a 14.6 likes bright elliptical galaxy with an active galactic nucleus from Hubble type E2 in the constellation Draco the northern sky . It is estimated to be 405 million light years from the Milky Way and about 60,000 light years across.
In the same area of the sky are u. a. the galaxies NGC 6338 , NGC 6345 , IC 4649 , IC 4650 .
The object was discovered by Lewis A. Swift on May 13, 1887 .
