NGC 6369 , also Little Ghost Nebula ( Engl. : Little Ghost Nebula ), is a planetary nebula in the constellation Ophiuchus , which is about 5,000 light-years from the Earth 's center. NGC 6369 was formed by an aging star named HD 158269 when it shed its outer shell.
The object was discovered on May 21, 1784 by the German-British astronomer Wilhelm Herschel .
The nebula is not to be confused with the objects ghost head nebula (NGC 2080) or ghost nebula (VdB 141).
