NGC 6407 is a 11.5 likes bright lenticular galaxy of Hubble type S0 in the constellation Peacock and about 202 million light years away from the Milky Way.
It was discovered on August 7, 1834 by John Herschel with an 18-inch reflector telescope, which noted "eF, S, R, lbM, 15 arcseconds, near three stars".
