NGC 6418 is a 14.4 mag bright spiral Seyfert galaxy (type 1) of the Hubble type S? in the constellation of Dragon , which is an estimated 392 million light years from the Milky Way .
The object was discovered by Edward D. Swift on May 4, 1885 .
