NGC 6436 is a 14.0 mag bright spiral galaxy of the Hubble type Scd in the constellation Dragon in the northern sky . It is estimated to be 292 million light years from the Milky Way and about 120,000 ly in diameter.
The object was discovered by Lewis A. Swift on September 25, 1884 .
