Ng Ka Fung ( Chinese  吳家鋒  /  吴家锋 , Pinyin Wú Jiāfēng , Jyutping Ng 4 Gaa 1 fung 1 , born October 27, 1992 in Hong Kong ) is a Chinese sprinter who competes internationally for Hong Kong.

Athletic career

Ng Ka Fung gained his first experience in international competitions at the 2009 Youth World Championships in Brixen , where he reached the quarter-finals in the 100-meter run and was eliminated over 200 meters with 22.28 s in the preliminary run. The following year he won the silver medal at the Junior Asian Championships in Hanoi with the Hong Kong 4 x 100 meter relay in 40.51 s and finished fifth over 100 meters. At the Asian Championships in Kobe he won the silver medal behind the team from Japan with the relay in 39.26 s. In 2012, this season qualified for the Olympic Games in London , where they were eliminated with 38.61 s in qualification . At the 2013 Asian Championships in Pune , he celebrated his greatest success to date with winning the relay in 38.94 s. In the individual competition he was sixth in 10.52 s. He then retired at the World Championships in Moscow with the relay in the run-up and won the silver medal at the East Asian Games in Tianjin .

In 2014 he was disqualified in the run-up to the 60-meter run at the Asian Indoor Championships in Hangzhou . At the end of September he first took part in the Asian Games in Incheon , South Korea , where he won the bronze medal with the relay in 38.98 s and reached the semi-finals in the 200-meter run , in which he was eliminated with 21.59 s. Also at the Asian Championships in Wuhan the following year he reached the semi-finals over 200 meters and again won the silver medal behind China in 39.25 seconds. Two years later he reached the semi-finals over 100 meters at the Asian Championships in Bhubaneswar and retired from the relay in the preliminary round. At the beginning of September he reached the semi-finals over 60 meters at the Asian Indoor & Martial Arts Games in Ashgabat , in which he was eliminated with 6.83 s. In 2018 the first round of over 60 meters followed at the Asian Indoor Championships in Tehran . At the end of August, he again took part in the Asian Games in Jakarta , where he retired with 10.59 s in the 100-meter semifinals and finished seventh with the Hong Kong 4-by-100-meter relay in 39.48 s.

In 2017 and 2018 Ng became the Hong Kong champion in the 100-meter run.
