Noda ( Japanese 野 田 市 , - shi ) is a city in Chiba Prefecture on Honshū , the main island of Japan . The city is famous for soy sauce ( Shoyu ).
history
The city of Noda was founded on May 3, 1950 through the merger of the Machi Noda ( 野 田 町 , -machi ) with the Mura Asahi ( 旭 村 , -mura ), Shichifuku ( 七 福村 , -mura ) and Umesato ( 梅 郷 村 , -mura ) established in Higashikatsushika-gun .
