Organ builder

Johann Offner (born January 6, 1846, † July 5, 1887 in Augsburg) was the founder of the organ building family. He learned from Joseph Bohl and was consequently his successor in concession for Augsburg. Offner's widow married Josef Mühlbauer from Schongau . He ran the workshop until 1916.

Max Josef Offner (born October 14, 1880 in Augsburg; † July 17, 1961 there), son of Johann Offner, took over the workshop after the death of his stepfather.

Max Anton Offner, the grandson of the company founder (* 1923 in Augsburg; † 1992) took over the company in 1953 and moved it to Kissing. He created several hundred new buildings and conversions. His instruments have a southern German neo-baroque sound. He died after falling from an organ in the nave .

Maximilian Offner (* 1952), the first great-grandson of the company founder, founded his own workshop in Kissing in 1987.

Andreas Offner (* 1965), the second great-grandson of the company founder, continued to run the parent company after the accidental death of his father, initially as an organ builder together with his mother. Since 1995 he has been leading it independently as a master organ builder.
