One Piece - The Curse of the Holy Sword ( Japanese ONE PIECE 呪 わ れ た 聖 剣 , One Piece: Norowareta Seiken ) is the fifth feature film for the anime series One Piece , which is based on the manga series of the same name by the Mangaka Eiichirō Oda . The film was produced in Japan by Toei Animation .

The Straw Hat Pirates are looking for the sword of the seven stars , which is said to be on the island of Aska. It is one of the Grand Line's greatest treasures, which also leads the Navy to hunt for the sword at the same time. In addition, there is a curse on the sword, according to which a red moon appears over the sky of Aska every one hundred years, and the sword seeks to make it truly reflected in a blood-red sea.
Production and publication
The film was produced by Toei Animation and directed by Kazuhisa Takenouchi based on a script by Yoshiyuki Suga . Noboru Koizumi was responsible for character design and artistic direction. The music was composed by Kōhei Tanaka .
The film premiered in Japan on March 6, 2004. In Germany it was released on September 30, 2011 on DVD and Blu-Ray on the Kazé Germany label . The German first broadcast on VIVA achieved a market share of 1% among 14–49 year olds, with a total of 120,000 viewers. A French translation appeared on French Kazé and an Italian was televised by Italia 1 .

The German dubbing was produced by the Munich dubbing studio of PPA Film GmbH. The dialogue book was written by Inez Günther , who was also the dubbing director.
