Pena is a Portuguese village in the municipality ( Freguesia ) and in the district ( concelho ) of Góis .
It is one of the traditional slate villages in the region, and belongs to the nationally advertised route of the Aldeias do Xisto . They connect hiking trails through the surrounding forests and valleys.
Pena has already been the subject of television coverage of a travel magazine on the public broadcaster RTP .
Various traditional, comfortable renovated houses were in accommodation establishments of rural Turismo converted.
