Chiqueiro is a Portuguese village in the municipality ( Freguesia ) of Casal de Ermio , in the district ( Concelho ) of Lousã .

It lies together with the villages of Talasnal and Casal Novo in the Serra da Lousã , a foothills of the Iberian Divide Mountains . All three villages belong to the route of the traditional slate villages of the region, the Aldeias do Xisto . Hiking trails connect the places and lead through the wooded mountain landscape, which is crossed by rivers.

The location in the midst of beautiful landscapes and the half-deserted impression of the village of Chiqueiro make it special.

A lookout point with a rest area and a small hut as a shelter is set up on a hill here and was completely renovated in February 2012 by the members of the Landlousã off-road vehicle club .
