Poul Richard Høj Jensen ( PRHJ ) (born June 2, 1944 in Copenhagen ) is a former Danish regatta sailor and boat builder .

biography

After completing his military service with the Royal Danish Navy , Høj Jensen worked in the company of Paul Elvstrøm and Hans Fogh in boat building. After 15 years he left the company to set up a sailmaker with Fogh. He then founded his own company, Høj Jensen Design .

Participation in the Olympic Games

Poul Høj Jensen took part in the sailing Olympics four times.

World championships

Høj Jensen was two times world champion in the kite and was able to win five European championship titles. After his Danish compatriot Aage Birch , he is the most successful winner of the prestigious Dragon Gold Cup with five wins .

His brother Frank Høj Jensen was also a regatta sailor and, like Poul, took part in the 1972 Olympic Games off Kiel . Together as a crew they achieved seventh place in the kite class .
