Rödt is a locality in the Innviertel of Upper Austria as well as a locality and cadastral municipality of the municipality of Pramet in the district of Ried im Innkreis .

geography

The place is located about 9 kilometers south of Ried im Innkreis , on the northern edge of the Hausruck and Kobernaußerwald train to the Innviertel hill country (southern Innviertel).

The scattered houses are to the west of the Riedel , which stretches north from the Guggenberg to Pramet , 1½ kilometers away , and down into the valley of the Kronawittbach (to the east is the upper reaches of the Oberach , into which the Kronwittbach flows; this flows into the Antiesen near Ried) . At the Riedel, the L509  Frankenburger Straße passes Ried - Vöcklamarkt .

The village comprises about 15 addresses with almost 50 inhabitants, that is a group of three farms on the Riedel and one at the foot to the northeast, as well as the houses on the other side of the Kronawittbach, and to the north of it, already at Knirzing , two more farms.

history

The place name (' clearing ') is a typical high medieval clearing name that belongs to the second settlement phase on the northern edge of the Kobernaußerwald, in which the forest from the Gaugshamer and Schachawald (near Treubach) to Pramet was finally cleared.

In the 19th century, the three farms on the Riedel were considered to be Rödt  (today's number 1–3), the farm at the foot (number 4) was called Hamingerbauer , on the other side of the Kronawittbach was the Schachermühle (to Schachen , 'Gehölz') , and the farm near Knirzing (Rödt No. 8) is called Speckbauer zu Weiteneben .

Until 1884 the localities belonged to the tax / cadastral municipality St. Kollmann , then the place came to the newly created political municipality Pramet. As a result, the municipal boundary on Kronawittbach changes sides several times.
