Radio 7 is one of three regional private radio stations in Baden-Württemberg . The radio program, based in Ulm , was founded in Leutkirch in the Allgäu in 1988 and has its official broadcasting area in south-eastern Württemberg . There is also an office in Konstanz that is responsible for marketing in neighboring Switzerland.

In Aalen , Ravensburg and Tuttlingen there are studios that today only deliver local news and event tips. The music format is called Adult Contemporary .

According to Media Analysis 2015 Radio II, Radio 7 in the German part of the transmission area reaches an average of 184,000 listeners ( hourly net reach ) and a total of 619,000 listeners per day between 6 a.m. and 6 p.m. According to Mediapulse Radiopanel 2014, around 42,200 listeners are reached every day in Switzerland .

The shareholders are Mediengesellschaft Donau-Iller GmbH & Co. KG (subsidiary of Südwest Presse ), Schwäbischer Verlag GmbH & Co. KG and Schwarzwälder Bote GmbH & Co. KG .

Awards

In 2011 the presenter Christina Weiss was awarded the German Radio Prize for the best interview. In the afternoon show, she conducted an interview with the transsexual competitive athlete Balian Buschbaum .

Media Prize Seven

Since 2012, Radio 7 has been awarding the Media Prize Seven during a charity dinner for the benefit of the Dragon Children Campaign . Prize winners in 2012 were Pia Douwes , Moses Pelham , Frida Gold , Dergin Tokmak , Silbermond , Unheilig , Sunrise Avenue and the charity protection instincts e. V. by Sonja Zietlow . Prize winners in 2013 were Peter Maffay , Lena Meyer-Landrut , Ivy Quainoo , Jenke von Wilmsdorff , the musical production Mamma Mia! , DJ BoBo and the Tour for kids campaign.

Both channels, which broadcast the Tuttlingen regional window, are in the immediate vicinity of the former Baden state border, so that the Baden area south of it also belongs to the distribution area and the program can therefore also be marketed in neighboring Switzerland. Since December 1, 2014, Radio 7 in Baden-Wuerttemberg can also be received via DAB + on channel 11B , which means that the coverage area has again increased significantly beyond the defined transmission area. Via DAB + it is identical to all other stations in the same DAB ensemble.

From 2012 to 2014 Radio 7 was involved in the nationwide event broadcaster LiveRadio . It was produced together with the Baden-Württemberg private broadcasters Antenne 1 and Radio Regenbogen and discontinued at the end of 2014.
