Radoľa (until 1973 Slovak "Radola"; Hungarian Radola ) is a municipality in northwestern Slovakia with 1512 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2019) and is located in Okres Kysucké Nové Mesto , a district of Žilinský kraj .

The municipality is located in the traditional Kysuce landscape about 10 kilometers north of Žilina and two kilometers southeast of Kysucké Nové Mesto . The Vadičovský creek flows through the village and flows into the Kysuca at the lower end . The surrounding landscape is characterized by the Kysucká vrchovina and the Javorníky Mountains further west.

history

The oldest parish in the Kysuce region is found in the village, with the first mention in 1332.

From 1973-1993 Radoľa was part of Kysucké Nové Mesto.
