Rudinská (Hungarian Rezsőfalva - until 1907 Rudinszka ) is a municipality in northwest Slovakia with 1002 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2019) and is located in the Okres Kysucké Nové Mesto , a district of the Žilinský kraj , and at the same time in the traditional Kysuce landscape .
geography
The village is located in the Javorníky Mountains in the valley of the Rudinský brook . The southern part of the municipality is hilly and rises north to the main ridge of Javorníky. Except for the area surrounding the built-up area, a large part of the municipality is forested. The center of the village is located at an altitude of 480 m nm and is eight kilometers from Kysucké Nové Mesto .
Neighboring municipalities are Nesluša in the north and east, Rudina in the south, Divina in the west and Dlhá nad Kysucou in the northwest.
history
Rudinská was first mentioned in writing in a tax register in 1579 as Postenni , then in 1598 as a Wallachian place called Rudniczka . Until 1798 the village was in the dominion of Budatín and was therefore owned by the Szunyogh dynasty , the last owners before the end of serfdom in 1848 came from the Csáky dynasty . In 1784 the village had 101 houses and 574 inhabitants, in 1828 there were 104 houses and 899 inhabitants who were employed as wire ties, lumberjacks and sheep and cattle farmers.
Until 1918 the place in Trenčín County belonged to the Kingdom of Hungary and then came to Czechoslovakia or now Slovakia.

According to the 2011 census, there were 968 inhabitants in Rudinská, of whom 926 were Slovaks and one Moravian and one Czech . One resident indicated a different ethnic group and 39 residents gave no information about the ethnic group.
881 residents committed themselves to the Roman Catholic Church, six residents to the Pentecostal movement and five residents to the Evangelical Church AB; one resident professed a different denomination. 14 residents had no denomination and the denomination of 61 residents was not determined.
