Innovations

Many technical and safety improvements have been made this year. This includes standardized motors and propellers for all pilots as well as changing the material and height of the pylons. The mode and the rules have also been adapted to the new World Cup.

Another addition to the 2014 season was the Challenger Cup, which has since brought an exciting and new element to the Red Bull Air Race World Championship. The Challenger Cup aims to prepare young pilots for the Master Class. The Challenger Cup races take place at the location of the main event and are therefore part of the race weekend. They give new pilots the chance to gain important experience and to prepare for any future duels against the master class pilots.
